"Bits" is a full room installation that was displayed in Flagg Hall at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in December 2023. Exploring themes of memory, physical touch and interaction, collection and cycles; “Bits” is comprised of 200+ handmade ceramic "worry" stones, each made to emphasize the artist's hand. The very personal interaction that exists when working with clay forms parallels to human interaction, relationships, and the body. The ceramic "bits” are hung from the ceiling to take up/make space; casting shadows onto the memories and interactions projected onto the walls around the ceramic body.
